Chewy-Nutty-Yema Bliss

I see friends like a favorite food. You will not forget them. You may not see them often but when you do, everything else goes back to the good old day.

Fireflies Burn ...

With an unexpected turn, I found myself helping out a friend in preparation for a big and meaningful event for her family.  I met them last night and discovered how beautiful conversations can be like with soft-spoken individuals.  It didn't take long for me to admire this family.  I suppose it's their gentleness and flowing caring words for each other that glued me instantly to this family.

Something lovely is going to happen soon as in this February ...

I'm gonna see a beautiful star in a starry starry night  ...

And perhaps introduce that star to this song ...

Fireflies
By: Marie Hines

Fire on your back, Sky painted black
Guessing the turns fireflies burn

Tiptoe in time
Falling behind
Losing your way
Learning to pray

Brilliant parade
Blind masquerade
Waltzing in place
Weaving through space

Flashes of light
Season the night
Living is like
Chasing fireflies

Twisting the proof
Turning from youth
Laughing at fate
Swinging too late

Loosening lips
Lost battleships
Fighting the lies
Burning inside

A gallery of could-be's
A library of would-be's
A destiny of should-be's
Waiting at your door
The mystery of maybe
A history of save me's
A risk worth taking
Waiting at your door

Fire on your back, Sky painted black
Guessing the turns fireflies burn

Oh the gift of youth!  Full of zest that we can lit up the sky like fireflies.  May you continue to believe in fireflies...

Gold-stamped

Captured by those who so unknowingly make this pocket of time so worth it.

Thanks to hubby's new found friend Yeye and his wife Gigi, we found another reason to like and remain grateful to Singapore - the West Coast. We like it here! It's a newly upgraded park with newly installed play equipment for kids and neatly combed grass. But what draws me closer to it is the boulevard. It has a unique perfection with the massive metal body of its shipyard against the playful toss of the small bancas / motorboats. The picturesque sight is wrapped by glittering smiles of families having a stroll. Some looked so at home and started owning time with folded legs and uninterrupted conversations with loved ones.

Hubby's all in his element also

I think he misses this air so much! I shall let him own this time and be intimate with his brush, watercolor tubes, water and the West Coast muse.

Here are some more pretty chatters from West Coast

And some small details that reached my heart

Sweet Repeats Around

So this page has resurrected after the original blog got compromised.

Back in space, and indeed a sweet repeat to be back.   I have posted earlier in FB that we are 'cookin' something lovely and yummy for the love month - Valentine's day!  Sweet Repeats thinks that Vday signals something old yet new to make our loved ones feel special.

So here's to an exciting month ahead.

Look out for more yummy and lovely updates !

Yours truly,

Sweet Repeats Around
